Split payments in Lessn allow you to pay a single bill using multiple cards. This is useful for managing cash flow across different payment sources. Before creating a split payment, make sure the payment methods you want to use are already added to your Lessn account.
Create a Split Payment
Go to Businesses in Lessn.
Find the business you want to set up a split payment for and click Manage.
Navigate to the Payment Methods tab.
Under Split Payments, click Add Split.
Enter a name for the split payment method.
Set Up Payment Methods and Percentages
Add the first payment method and enter the percentage of the total payment you want it to cover.
Add the next payment method and assign its percentage split.
If needed, add more payment methods, ensuring the total split always equals 100%.
Use Even Split or Fill Remaining Options
To divide the total payment equally across all added payment methods, click Even Split.
To allocate any remaining balance to one of the payment methods, click Fill with Remaining.
Finalise the Split Payment Method
Once all payment methods and percentages are set, click Create Split to save it.
The split payment method will now be available when paying bills in Lessn.
Managing Payments with Flexibility
Split payments allow you to distribute bill payments across multiple payment methods, helping with cash flow while ensuring suppliers are paid on time. Once created, the split payment method can be used whenever you process a bill in Lessn.
