Push Updates to Xero

Updated over a month ago

Lessn can automatically push payment-related updates back to Xero, keeping your accounting records in sync without manual data entry. When enabled, this feature ensures that payments made in Lessn are reflected in Xero, along with any associated clearing transactions.

How Pushing Updates to Xero Works

When you make a payment in Lessn, the system can send transaction details back to Xero.

This includes updating the bill status, marking payments as reconciled, and booking entries against the designated Lessn accounts in Xero.

If enabled, Lessn will:

  • Update the bill status in Xero once a payment is processed

  • Book transactions against the Lessn Clearing Account (9999) and Lessn Fees Account (9998)

  • Sync payment details, ensuring Xero reflects the latest financial data

If disabled, Lessn will not push updates, meaning payments made in Lessn will need to be manually reconciled in Xero.

Enable or Disable Push Updates to Xero

Go to Businesses

Select the business you want to update and click Manage.

Navigate to the Xero tab.

Toggle the Push Updates setting on or off.

Enabling push updates helps maintain accurate financial records without extra effort, while disabling it gives you full control over reconciliation in Xero.

Keeping Your Accounting Records Up to Date

Automatically pushing updates from Lessn to Xero reduces the risk of mismatched records and saves time on reconciliation. If your business requires manual control over updates, you can toggle this feature off at any time.
