When a payment fails or shows an error in Lessn, it’s usually due to an issue with the payment method or a temporary block by your card issuer. This article outlines common causes and how to resolve them.
Insufficient funds on your card
If your card doesn’t have enough available funds, the payment won’t go through.
To fix this:
Add more funds to your card, then return to the bill and click Retry Payment.
Or, change the payment method by selecting a different card from the Payment Details page, then retry the payment.
Card issuer temporarily blocked the payment
Some card issuers may block a transaction they consider unusual or suspicious. You’ll typically receive a notification from your banking app or be contacted directly.
To resolve:
Approve or verify the transaction with your card issuer.
Once cleared, return to the bill in Lessn and retry the payment.
If your card issuer has confirmed the transaction is no longer blocked but the payment still can’t be retried, contact Lessn support and we’ll step in to help.
