When a payment is made in Lessn, the bill in Xero is automatically updated, helping to ensure your records are always accurate without requiring manual intervention. For this, Lessn requires a dedicated contact in Xero for booking payment entries, along with two accounts in the chart of accounts:
a clearing account for managing clearing payments
an account for processing fees
The two other cases Lessn updates Xero are:
writing ledger entries to aid reconciliation for credit card accounts and
setting the
Planned Datefor Bills when scheduling Payments.
Both of these are controlled by settings in the accounting preferences for your business.
